Unsupervised and Supervised Image Classification (Module 5)
The map above shows a supervised classification for Grovetown, Maryland. Using provided coordinates spectral signatures were classified. The spectral distance map was used to help identify areas of high error (bright/light areas indicating high error). This information was then used to create more signatures to correct these errors. The histograms and mean plots were inspected to identify appropriate bands to apply to the image (in this case Red 5, Green 4, and Blue 3). Redundant classes were combined to give a final output of the 8 classes shown on the map above.
