In this lab we covered basic principles of visually interpreting features using the concepts of tone, texture, shape, size, pattern, shadow, association, and color.

The primary ArcGIS tools used were creating feature classes, editing attribute tables, and creating layouts.

Deliverable 1(above): This map shows the polygons selected to create a tone and texture scale. Tone is represented by five values: very light, light, medium, dark, very dark. and texture is likewise represented by five values: Texture: very mine, fine, mottled, coarse, very coarse.

Deliverable 2 (above): This map shows features that were visually identified and what concepts were used to identify them.
